What you'll be doing...

You will be part of team that uses cutting edge statistics and econometrics methods to develop inferential / attribution models that can be actioned using mathematical optimization. We use data and advanced econometric / statistics and machine learning methods as the fuel to propel us beyond our competition. As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll work on projects (building inferential models) that develop and perform complex statistical and econometric analyses. You'll be constantly on the lookout for new modeling techniques, evolving technologies, and emerging industry trends so that we can stay ahead of the game. Your work will help us meet our customers' needs and make it even easier for them to do business with us.

  • Performing analyses to find actionable insights using advanced econometric / statistical models.
  • Developing systems, applications, and visual dashboards.
  • Conducting and guiding others through system usage assessments.
  • Ensuring data quality and promoting process improvement.

What we're looking for...

With an eye towards improving performance and predictability, you like the science of analytics. Developing resolutions to complex problems, using your sharp judgment to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria allows you to deliver solutions that make a huge impact. You're able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and you take pride in your ability to share your considerable knowledge with your peers.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a data scientist, analyst, or statistical modeler.
  • Experience building Marketing Mix Models.
  • Experience with building inferential models / attribution models.
  • Experience with R programming.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Degree in statistics, econometrics, computer science, mathematics or business intelligence and analytics.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D.
  • Experience in mathematical optimization.
  • Experience in developing R packages.
  • Experience in Bayesian statistics / econometrics.
  • Experience in Multitouch Attribution (MTA).
  • Experience with programming languages, like Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with visualization tools, like Tableau.
  • Experience with Data Warehousing or Teradata SQL.
  • Knowledge of distributive computing tools, like Hive or Spark.
  • Experience with SiteCatalyst/Clickstream.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $137,000.00 and $255,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
