Project Manager

IT Client Services

Full-Time (Hybrid)

In office 3 days per week required -NYC based

Overview:

The Project Manager owns the delivery of large, complex HSS IT projects on time, on budget, within scope, according to established PMO methodologies, policies, procedures, and assets, using matrixed resources. The Project Manager serves as an escalation point and represents the team in management venues (stand-ups, governance, steering committees, for example). The Project Manager conducts administrative and supervisory tasks, such as time and performance management, creation and management of work plans, financial modeling, and provides coaching to the team on project management methodology and PMO policies and procedures. The Project Manager is expected to have a working knowledge of software and workflows relevant to the implementation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Sets and communicates deadlines, assigns responsibilities and summarizes progress of the project.

  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.

  • Chiefly uses existing platforms such as MS Project, Excel, and PPM systems for timekeeping, resource planning, and change control.

  • Scopes, budgets, assigns, monitors and mitigates work for the project team to align project goals with customer needs within constraints.

  • Leads interdisciplinary teams that include operational and clinical users, application teams, training and technical services.

  • Serves as primary contact for internal clients such as Finance, HSS Operations and external contacts such as vendors.

    This leadership role may require a flexible work schedule, including night and weekend support of major implementations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required (Masters preferred)

  • PMP or ITIL certification required.

  • Minimum 5-10 years experience.

  • Experience managing IT project implementations involving enterprise software installations/upgrades/roll outs, equipment deployment, servers, networking, storage and/or back-up, newly constructed or renovated spaces, as well as installing net new

  • MS Project or other project scheduling software proficiency required

  • Expert level proficiency with MS Office including Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Established knowledge in Waterfall and Agile methodologies as well as with project portfolio management software (e.g. Eclipse or Clarity PPM) Highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented; a team player who is analytical and focused on achieving HSS’s clinical and business goals through technology and process

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, resolve conflicts and manage project plans as well as communicate risks, issues and concerns with operational counterparts and senior HSS stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success in working with and leading multiple teams from different disciplines as well as the ability to manage internal expectations on project requirements and timelines

USD $120,000.00/Yr.
