Google Program Manager II, Net Zero Content, Global Sustainability in New York, New York

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

  • Experience in climate and clean energy communications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience conceptualizing and developing written and multimedia content aimed at diverse global audiences.

  • Experience collaborating across large, matrixed organizations to drive strategic programs and execute on complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience translating technical topics to diverse audiences and managing multiple content development processes and initiatives in parallel.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager in Net Zero Content, you will manage the development of written and multimedia materials aimed at external audiences, ensuring that our work is well understood by external stakeholders and that we are using Google’s voice to drive broader, ecosystem-level impact.

The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google’s global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.

  • Develop and execute content strategies that advance Google’s Net Zero goal and global climate leadership through high-quality written and multimedia content.

  • Manage cross-functional processes to scope, develop, and publish high quality written and multimedia content products that tell the story of our leadership to diverse audiences.

  • Oversee selection and management of creative vendors specializing in multimedia content including data visualization, infographics, 2D and 3D animation, etc.

  • Drive execution of cross-functional process to craft, refine, and socialize external messaging that translates complex technical topics into clear and compelling language.
