Product Manager, Quant, Risk & Performance Systems at Ares Operations, LLC (NY, NY).Duties: Work closely with end users and application developers to identify and analyze requirements, work with large volumes of data, define business and technical requirements, and validate deliveries. Liaise closely with Investment Performance, Fund Accounting, and Investment Operations teams to gather and analyze requirements. Work with Portfolio / Investment accounting datasets and reports. Work with developers to drive implementation of business requirements, taking ownership of requirements gathering and setting user expectations. Work on Ares data warehouse integrations with external/internal systems. Identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency, recommending solutions and build as necessary. Analyze user requirements and issues. Provide the best fit solution, while maintaining the integrity of existing applications. Perform QA and UAT testing throughout all future systems iterations. Ad-hoc data analysis and debugging of data issues. Form strong working relationships with internal users across locations to facilitate application support and adoption.Reqs: Bachelor’s in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related Engineering field plus 5 years in any job title/occupation/role in the financial services industry. Experience must include: at least 2 years as a Business Analyst; Gathering technical and functional requirements for software changes; Gathering trade, positions, security data for analysis and identifying data gaps; Creating complex SQL database queries for data model analysis; Designing technical documentation of software functionalities and releases; Identifying root cause for issues and going through software/data logic for resolution; Delivering application support and providing manual test case automation; Understanding the functionality, writing test cases for the functionality, and executing the test cases; and Identifying defects during testing phase and reporting defects identified and follow-up till closure.
