We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist who is fluent in Mandarin to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience and be proficient in using straight needles and butterfly needles. Strong data entry and customer service skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Greet and check-in patients upon arrival
Draw blood and process samples, including labeling and recording maintenance data
Decontaminate work areas and equipment as necessary
Update and maintain patient information in the internal system
Collect and store specimens according to established procedures
Demonstrate and utilize proper techniques with straight needles and butterfly needles
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders
Document and update patient records through the internal system
Essential Skills
2 or more years of phlebotomy experience
Proficiency in using straight needles and butterfly needles
Strong data entry skills
Fluent in Mandarin
Excellent customer service skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Experience as a Phleb Tech or Medical Assistant (MA)
No certifications required
Work Environment
This position is based at a patient services center located in Lower Manhattan, New York, NY. The Phlebotomist will interact with approximately 30-50 patients per day. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, with no nights or weekends required. This is a stationary position with the potential for overtime. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
