The Network Administrator must have the skills to take on delegated tasks in network administration, including network infrastructure maintenance, network security, monitoring network system performance and network stability. The Network Administrator will be responsible for network functioning and security when the Senior Network Administrator is not on duty.
Primary Responsibilities :
Serve as the designated backup for the Senior Network Administrator, stepping in when necessary to handle any portion of their responsibilities, including:
Ensure proper functioning of the network
Design and organize network infrastructure
Assign routing protocols and router/switch configurations
Monitor network performance
Analyze network traffic to fine tune firewall and configurations
Responsible for network security
Manage relationship with ISP/external networking vendors
Networking hardware inventory and documentation
Training other IT staff in particular network support tasks
Perform other duties as assigned
Shared Responsibilities :
Domain client/server maintenance
Support for enterprise systems planning/rollouts
Disaster recovery planning
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration, IT support, or systems administration
Strong technical aptitude in the following areas and technologies: OSI or TCP/IP model.
Strong knowledge and experience of Cisco, Barracuda & Dell (incl. SonicWall) network technologies including, but not limited to routing, switching, wireless and VoIP
Experience with dynamic routing and switching such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc. required
Experience with design, implement and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructure required
Strong understanding of security concepts
Experience with analysis and monitoring tools such as WireShark, LanSweeper, PRTG, etc.
Experience with Arctic Wolf and Dark Trace is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong vendor management and negotiating skills
Previous experience in healthcare industry preferred
Compensation and Benefits :
Salary: $90,000.00 - 105,000.00 per year
