Amazon Design Technologist, Visual Innovation Services in New York, New York

Description

Want to build innovative solutions for immersive shopping experiences? The Visual Innovation Team (VIT) is at the center of all advanced visual and immersive content at Amazon. We're pioneering VR and AR shopping, CGI and GenAI. We are looking for a Design Tecnologist who will help drive innovation in this space who understands technical problems the team may face from an artistic perspective and provide creative technical solutions.

This role is for if you want to be a part of:

  • Developing and expanding Amazon’s VIT Production workflow through automation using scripting languages and GenAI

  • Partnering with world-class creatives and scientists to drive innovation in content creation

  • Building one of the largest content libraries on the planet

  • Driving the success and adoption of emerging experiences across Amazon

Key job responsibilities

  • Work directly with videographers and studio production to develop automated production workflows using scripting languages and GenAI

  • Collaborate with other tech artists and engineers to build and maintain a centralized suite of creative workflows and tooling

  • Work with creative leadership to research, prototype and implement the latest industry trends that expand our production capabilities and improve efficiency

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple projects from beginning to end, under tight and evolving deadlines

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a front-end technologist or GenAI

  • Knowledge of Python, Javascript, and source control (Git)

  • Have coding samples in front end programming languages

  • Experience with UI design for complex workflows and for end users

  • Experience with web, mobile web, or mobile app front-end development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of technologies such as JavaScript/NodeJS, HTML/CSS, Responsive/Adaptive Design

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
