Point72, L.P. has openings for Data Scientists II, MI Data in New York, NY. Roles are hybrid; can work up to 2 days per week from home.Conduct research through data mining and statistical modeling to discover insights from Big Data that are used by investment professionals to make investment decisions. Work in a highly collegial environment that emphasizes teaching and learning as a team. Conduct statistical modeling and data mining on structured and unstructured data to extract insights. Manage all aspects of the research process, including methodology selection; data collection and quality assurance; modeling and analysis; and performance monitoring. Deliver research findings to investment teams, portfolio managers, and other internal clients. Work within a team to help drive innovation on metrics and modeling strategies.Must possess at least a master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative field and at least 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a related role. Must also possess the following: at least 2 years of experience with machine learning, statistical models, and data mining techniques; at least 2 years of experience with data cleaning, processing, feature engineering, and modeling; at least 2 years of experience with statistical methods (including generalized regression model, time series, SVM and/or other related methods); at least 2 years of experience with integrating data analysis with business context; at least 2 years of experience in building efficient and robust data processing pipeline on distributed system; and at least 2 years of experience programming with Python, SQL or similar language.

Minimum Salary: 180,000 Maximum Salary: 230,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
