The B2B Retention Marketing team is responsible for building lasting relationships with our audiences through personalized, scalable, cross-channel experiences that drive retention and engagement. We take pride in being the trusted advisor for channel strategy, and the prominent customer advocate to our cross-functional partners — navigating them through every step of their DoorDash journey and empowering them with the right, personalized resources, education, and suite of solutions to maximize their business, at scale.

About the Role

As an Associate Manager of Retention Marketing, you will be responsible for creating communications and lifecycle programs to increase adoption and activation of our DoorDash for Business product suite by company administrators and their employees / users (think B2B2C). You will collaborate with key stakeholders of the DoorDash for Business team, including product, eng, operations, and other marketers to move key business metrics through the use of CRM channels (email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app messaging). This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at navigating ambiguity, and has a strong sense of ownership.

  • Develop, test and implement CRM strategies to improve key business metrics for DoorDash for Business. Experiment with new strategies and CRM tactics to increase conversion and deliver a personalized end-user experience.

  • Create the strategy and framework to personalize communications based on the administrators needs and their users benefits.

  • Manage cross-functional relationships with product marketing, operations, and product partners to lead the channel communications strategy for DoorDash for Business programs, including testing, iteration, and scaling.

  • Manage the campaign strategy end to end. Includes driving the creative review process, collaborating with designers and copywriters, identifying target audience segments and capturing feedback from multiple stakeholders.

  • Analyze campaign results, develop benchmarks, and create and share regular performance reports

  • Align with partner teams regularly to share best practices and insights

    We’re excited about you because…

  • 4-6+ years of experience in marketing or growth overall; 3+ years of experience in lifecycle, email, CRM, or retention marketing. Experience working in B2B / B2B2C a plus.

  • Familiarity with CRM technology including ESPs (Braze experience is a plus), segmentation tools, and complex data structures and systems.

  • Strong analytical skills; able to create data-driven marketing campaigns and share impact.

  • A record of driving business results via cross-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Sigma, Tableau, etc.

  • Extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated & ability to multi-task.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.

$108,800 — $160,000 USD
