Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of fire spread and smoke propagation in stations, tunnels, battery electric bus maintenance facilities and open/enclosed parking garages. Ventilation analysis and assessment of transit networks using CFD and subway environment simulations (SES). Structural fire temperature modeling using finite element analysis (FEA), with integrating CFD results into a coupled thermal and structural analysis to determine structural integrity during a fire. Fire-life safety analysis of electric vehicle (EV) fires in road tunnels, bus maintenance facilities and parking garages to assess fire spread risk, damage to surrounding structures, and determine fire protection system needs. Station, tunnel and bus maintenance facility egress modeling. Uncertainty analysis and risk assessment of fire related hazards in tunnels, transit systems and bus maintenance facilities. Investigation and comparison of advanced CFD modeling with test data for assessing fire suppression under different fixed firefighting systems and emergency ventilation system operating. $89,294.40 / Yr.
