Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene Administrative Coordinator & Evaluator in New York, New York
The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time Administrative Coordinator & Evaluator position for the Behavioral Health Services and Policy Research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) supports the New York State Office of Mental Health's mission to promote the widespread availability of evidence-based practices to improve mental health services, ensure accountability, and promote recovery-oriented outcomes for consumers and families. CPI uses innovative approaches to build stakeholder collaborations, develop and maintain practitioners' expertise, and build agency infrastructures that support implementing and sustaining evidence-based practices. CPI also works with OMH to identify and involve program participants, families, providers, and scientific/academic organizations as partners in supporting the goals of OMH and CPI.
The CPI serves as a key resource to OMH by spreading those practices identified by OMH as most critical to accomplish OMH's system-transformation initiatives. CPI is seeking a qualified full-time Administrative Coordinator & Evaluator to support the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) initiative. ACT provides training, support, and consultation to ACT providers across New York State. The person applying for this position will provide coordination of the ACT Institute training/ implementation activities, oversight of the evaluation of the ACT Institute activities and Stakeholder Engagement.
The incumbent will understand/exhibit an openness to learning about culturally sensitive approaches to providing mental health and substance use services and an understanding of person-centered practice and the process and possibility of robust recovery for people who have been psychiatrically labeled and who use substances.
The candidate must reside in NYS or NYC metro area and must be able to travel throughout NYS as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Administrative Coordinator reports directly to the Director of the ACT Institute and will also work closely with the CPI's Director of the Online Assistance Unit on matters related to the ACT Institute's website pages and the CPI learning management system as well as CPI's Associate Director who oversees CPI's data group.
Duties are related to the management of the ACT Institute and include (but are not limited to) Coordinate ACT Institute internal and external stakeholders Coordinate all training activities with implementation specialists and trainers and facilitate communication with the Online Assistants Unit Designing and creating marketing materials (in print and online concepts) for ACT Institute training offerings Preparing continuing education approval request paperwork Maintaining ACT provider lists Planning for expert consultant in-person and teleconference meetings Web-based data entry. Writing/editing newsletters and news briefs Updating web pages Working with and responding to requests from outside State agencies, county government, provider agencies, participants and family groups; consultants, training groups, and Center staff Tracking payments of consultants and training groups Planning (scheduling, obtaining meeting/conference spaces, arranging for food, managing invoices); Develop surveys with Web-based data entry platforms Compiling, analyzing data and creating reports (such as pilot reports, ACT Institute annual report. Travel arrangement Formatting papers for publication including reference lists Ordering supplies and processing bills
