Position Summary

The Account Director will lead and oversee the account management team, ensuring client satisfaction and the successful delivery of media services. This role involves managing client relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams to meet and exceed client expectations. The Account Director will need a strong addressable media background with retail experience to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for escalations and strategic discussions.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and media objectives.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Recommends targeted, innovative media vehicles consistent with media strategiesranging from RMNs to 3rd party partners.
  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships with senior clients, partner agencies and vendors.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and implement account management strategies to achieve business objectives and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing client accounts and collaborate with the sales team to drive new business.
  • Develop POV's to keep client informed on industry trends.

Project Oversight:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of client projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams (e.g. Brands, Criteo) to ensure seamless service and performance delivery.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor account performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Analyze account data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in account management or client services, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably at a digital or full-service agency
  • Proven track record of managing large accounts and delivering successful client outcomes.
  • Agency and/or Commerce media experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the digital marketing landscape.
  • Ability to manage cross-device and cross-channel addressable marketing campaigns.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
  • Responsible for mentoring, leading and training the team in ways of working. Effectively communicating agency goals, managing workloads and providing performance feedback and career development support.
  • Ability to manage team, both upwards and downwards, to ensure cross team communication.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Close attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in retail/beauty is preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.

Salary Range
$150,000-$160,000 USD
