Pfizer US RSV Advanced Customer Channel Lead in New York City, New York

RSV is acommon respiratory virus that affects the lungs and airways and can be serious, especially for infants and older adults.Each year, it is estimated up to 120,000 older adults are hospitalized and up to 10,000 die in the US due to RSV. In 2023, Pfizer's RSV vaccine, Abrysvo, was approved to prevent this devastating disease. Recognizing the impact Abrysvo can have on public health and as a priority brand for the organization, our attention now turns to establishing market leadership and rapid uptake in a highly dynamic and competitive market.

ROLE SUMMARY :

The US Abrysvo Older Adult Advanced Customer Channel Lead will play a pivotal strategic and tactical leadership role, working in close collaboration with the Account Management team to successfully launch RSV Older Adult within large, organized customers by delivering solutions that help these customers prioritize and optimize RSV vaccine implementation and operationalization to their patients and members. This colleague must be able to apply a thorough understanding of private and public health systems, and payer segments in order to align business priorities that can help drive brand preference and immunization rates.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead Abrysvo OA organized customer channel strategies and mobilize organization to support pull through plans; articulating business opportunity, resource allocations and continuously generating insights/learnings to drive brand performance.

  • Evolve brand access strategy and enhance value proposition based on market dynamics and business priorities, including prioritization of RSV in an increasingly crowded adult vaccine space.

  • Own the development and delivery of access and organized customer channel specific resources that are aligned to brand strategy; build timely, robust metrics plans to adjust execution as necessary to achieve goals.

  • Lead efforts to develop innovative and integrated digital omni-channel strategies and resources to effectively drive brand preference and operationalization throughout the organized customers.

  • Provide leadership to Account Management Team to support operationalization and RSV immunization priority in health systems within Pfizer's older adult vaccine portfolio.

  • Collaborate closely with the Older Adult HCP, Retail, and Consumer Teams to ensure delivery of a unified brand strategy and messaging while coordinating cross-brand Account Team deliverables and strategies with the RSV Maternal Access Lead and US Vaccines Older Adult Access Leads.

  • Recognize, develop, and foster market shaping and non-personal promotion partnerships with key external stakeholders.

  • Ensure maximal coverage across all payors (CMS, Commercial, Medicaid); Lead cost and coverage resourcing and messaging for all customer facing colleagues, and mitigation of any access specific challenges.

  • Identify specific access challenges in territories/regions/channels with low vaccination rates and develop tailored solutions as appropriate (capitated plans, IPAs, Medicaid, FQHCs, RHCs, etc.).

  • Provide brand marketing leadership to internal portfolio Channel Strategies, Market Shaping, Public/HIT, and Market Access Teams to support portfolio strategies, messages and solutions developed, including HIT solutions and quality measures.

  • Partner with Contracting Strategy Team to shape contract strategy and pull through, aligned to overall brand objectives within channels.

  • Direct the brand patient reminder recall platform strategy across the customer landscape (HCPs, organized customers, payers) and collaborate with Patient Adherence Team on implementation/pull-through with customer facing colleagues.

  • Lead the Account Management brand strategy for Sales Force meetings including planning, execution, branded and unbranded training, and follow-up engagement.

  • Lead Organized Customer/Access business planning deliverables, ie, operating plan, tactical plan, leadership reports/presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred

  • 10+ years pharmaceutical commercial experience; preference for vaccines and US market access experience

  • Strong understanding of US payer and vaccine reimbursement landscape

  • Experience in marketing to organized customers is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated matrix leadership and ability to foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork

  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage timelines and dependencies

  • Strong communication skills, ability to mobilize cross-functional partners

  • Comfort with ambiguity, and complex "white space" environments

  • Ability to navigate internal organization/processes

  • Entrepreneurial and innovative - exploring novel approaches to solving problems with strong focus on measuring effectiveness of different marketing programs to define future direction

  • Bias towards action, with a sense of urgency to deliver high quality plans and tactics that deliver the desired customer actions

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work on multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency and enthusiasm while prioritizing and meeting team goals

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
