The Leadership and Learning team focuses on growing great leaders and developing the critical skills that support the business. The Director, Leadership Assessments and Team Effectiveness will bring forward subject matter expertise and capabilities in the leadership assessments and effectiveness space to create a forward-looking enterprise strategy and enable colleagues and teams to grow and develop across the spectrum of leadership capability.
Partnering with the business, Colleague Strategic Partners, and multiple other stakeholders across the enterprise, the candidate will bring thought leadership and a strong ability to use research to bring innovation and results to amplify colleague development. The position requires the ability to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced dynamic environment to support developing business needs. Successful candidates will be strategic partners, results-driven, adaptable to change, have an external and enterprise approach, and able to lead competing priorities within tight deadlines.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Own and evolve the vision and strategy for our leadership assessment and development tools and approaches. Establish enterprise-wide assessment guidance with consistent principles, offerings and resources
Lead the design and deployment of enterprise-wide leadership assessment tools that enable people leaders to attain actionable developmental feedback e.g. the Leadership Behavior Insights tool (LBI), Amex 360, etc.
Develop select and purposeful leadership assessment and develop offerings to support colleagues in accelerating their development and career growth
Be responsible forleadership development offerings that deliver tailored, high-impact growth opportunities for leaders and their teams across the enterprise.
Partner with leaders within Colleague Experience Group and business groups to assess, consult, and integrate development best practices across the enterprise
Leadexternal partner relationships and vet new partnerships; work closely with vendor partners to design, deliver and evaluate tools, offerings and programs
Measure ongoing effectiveness and impact of tools and programs, drive decision-making based on return on investment
Conduct ongoing research on external best practices and recommend strategies for continuous improvement. Develop forward looking practices
Partner with Risk, Privacy and Compliance teams to ensure strong governance and risk controls in place
Minimum Qualifications
8 years’ workingin HR with extensive experience in Learning and Development, with a proven track record in designing and developing innovative colleague experience strategies with a focus on leadership and learning solutions
Experience in designing and delivering high-quality, end-to-end colleague-centric strategies as a self-starter with outstanding strategic thinking, and a solution-focused mentality
Experience and/or strong understanding in range of leadership assessment and development tools and strategies as well as their applicability and purpose
Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills to understand complex problems and root causes, and to make data‐driven recommendations
Provenability to gather internal and external insights to understand and identify needs and systematic solutions at scale, intellectual courage and curiosity
Strong consulting and relationship building skills across stakeholders, and comfort in influencing decisions and outcomes
Ability and desire to operate in the gray and learn quickly; flexibly adjust to navigate a variety of situations, individuals, and groups; persevere in the face of obstacles and challenges
Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong executive presence
Experience leading people and/or teams
Qualifications
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
