Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
8 years of experience in software development with technical leadership or project management leadership.
Experience with backend services, API design, batch systems, unit testing, and integration testing using Java or C++.
Experience with methodologies such as Scrum and continuous delivery.
Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to learn and grow.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Build and maintain high quality services and batch jobs.
Generate the ideas required to solve technical problems and take full ownership of the solution.
Work with multiple teams across the organization to solve technical problems and ship quality code.
Set technical direction and priorities for adjacent engineers within and across teams.
