Description
We are on the hunt for a meticulous and experienced Big 4 Tax Manager for our boutique firm based in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, you will be expected to interact closely with clients, providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance solutions. You will also be responsible for conducting primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns and managing staff. This role is part of the public accounting industry and is a unique opportunity for professional growth through exposure to all aspects of our diverse and expanding tax practice.
Responsibilities:
• Interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise
• Conduct primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns
• Manage and develop staff effectively and efficiently
• Keep up to date on current tax laws and practices
• Use your computer expertise, including knowledge of tax software and technology, to perform tasks efficiently
• Work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines and client needs
• Show a strong commitment to complying with tax laws while maintaining the ability to think creatively and strategically
• Maintain a strong passion for tax planning and research
• Provide tax services that shed light on all of our clients' unresolved tax concerns
• Develop and maintain excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize, and attention to detail

Requirements
• Currently licensed Certified Public Accountant - CPA
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Big 4 Public Accounting Tax
• Proficiency in Corporate Tax
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Ability to interpret and comply with tax regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proven knowledge of tax software and databases
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Strong strategic planning and business development skills
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate tax audits
• Proven ability to implement tax strategies and planning.
