TEKsystems Medical Receptionist in New London, Connecticut
Our busy dermatology practice looking for excited individuals to join our team as a Medical Receptionist . This role is responsible for front office duties based on the needs of the practice.
Ideal candidates should have previous clerical and telephone operating experience within the medical field. Familiarity with health insurance is a plus. Detail orientation and the ability to multi-task is preferred.
This is an in-person role located in New London, CT.
Shift: Mon – Fri, First Shift
Responsibilities:
Manage front desk patient flow
Check-in of scheduled patients
Complete patient registration including demographics, collecting and updating insurance and other pertinent information as directed by the practice
Verifying and entering referring and primary care providers as well as the patient’s pharmacy
Verifying insurance eligibility prior to the visit. Ensure if referral is required, one has been secured prior to the patient presenting to the office.
Collect Co-pays and outstanding balances
Schedule appointments including walk-in appointments
Assist with check-out of patients
Reschedule appointments
Assist staff members in other tasks as assigned
Some travel may be required.
