Aerotek Plant Operator in New Haven, Connecticut
Description:
Aerotek is seeking Operators/Wastewater Plant Technicians to join its team in New Haven. These individuals will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and controlling process equipment and performing mechanical maintenance throughout a wastewater pollution control plant.
Responsibilities:
Greasing equipment, changing belts, oil changes in gearboxes, and handling receipt of supply shipments
They will maintain records of plant operations including hourly operating data, plant violations, and abnormal operating conditions
They will perform fire guard duty as well as confined space watch
They will perform any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility to include sweeping, shoveling, and other housekeeping activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience as an operator, construction worker, mechanic, or a related field
Ability to read and comprehend instructional manuals/sheets, technical data, work orders and mechanical drawings in English
Ability to operate hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Strong mechanical aptitude
Must be comfortable working a rotating schedule
