New Bern Housing Authority After Hours Maintenance Technician (Part-time) in New Bern, North Carolina

The After-Hours Maintenance Mechanic(part-time) will work weekday evening (primarily from 5pm - 9pm) Monday through Friday. Be on call Saturday and Sunday from 8am - 9pm unless it's an life threating emergency. On call two (2) weekends per month.
The duties will include:
- Complete after hour and weekend emergency calls from the answering service or assigned by the property manager.
- Inspect and repair plumbing systems, including leaks or drain lines.
- Check and Test appliances
- Test and repair any electrical issues that might cause health and safety issues to include light fixtures, electrical outlets, etc.
- Perform carpentry duties as assigned Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience in electrical and plumbing systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently during after hours and weekend calls
Pay: Negotiable based on experience
