This position reports to Product Engineering & Quality ManagerYour role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier\'s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The work model for the role is: #LI - Hybrid This role is contributing to the Motion System Drives Division in New Berlin, WI area. You will be mainly accountable for: *Leading and executing supplier qualifications to ensure the supply base is fully qualified and compliant. Conducting audits and assessments and driving gap closure activities. *Driving approval process for supplier parts, materials and project subcontractor services, as applicable, involving collaboration with other functions/experts, encompassing activities like Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites. *Executing supplier non confirming material events. For supplier fault issues, preparing or sending a claims case as applicable. Ensuring root cause analysis of supplier nonconformance, following up and verifying the corrective actions. Proficient in the tools of cause investigation, such as PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), 8D or DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement, Control), etc. *Ensuring by Lean Six Sigma and risk based methodologies, identifying needed improvements with supplier capabilities to ensure conformance with Customer and ABB requirements.
