Hendrickson USA, L.L.C. Maintenance Technician - Afternoons in Navarre, Ohio

Position Purpose: Maximize productive time of equipment. Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems. Conduct PMs on a routine basis, making suggestions for improvement. Troubleshoot equipment problems from a mechanical, electrical, and program basis, finding and resolving the root cause problems. Coordinate and assist with the equipment installation and start-up. Essential Functions: * Follow safe work practice and support safety, quality, and productivity objectives * Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner. Perform task as outlined on preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer's recommendations. * Plan and implement corrective action in conjunction with management direction. * Comply with all safety standards and regulations. * Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner. * Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on equipment, building, grounds issues and implement correct remedy to minimize downtime * Assist in the quotation, purchase, and proper inventory management of maintenance supplies and equipment parts as required or directed. * Utilizes designated tools and software to manage daily task and complete assigned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance * Support engineering and other department project as needed to accomplish the objective of the plant Education and Training * Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or other related technical degree program is desired * Equivalent experience in applicable area in addition to years of experience is a possible substitute for a degree. Minimum Qualifications * Must have 5+ years maintenance experience * 2 years' experience with PLC's (Allen Bradley) * 5 years' experience with single and three phase electrical system * Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, fluid power, mechanical and plumbing systems. * Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, electrical and hydraulic schematics, equipment manuals, and department work procedures. * Familiar with Siemens and/or Fanuc CNC Controls needed * Should be familiar with applicable regulatory requirements outlined by OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and other state/local organizations. * Machining and welding capabilities required (Certified Welder is a plus) * Robotic background is a plus (Fanuc preferred) * Computer literature, i.e., Microsoft-Office applications * Ability to work different shifts and holidays as required to support production and other engineering/maintenance projects * Position requires to work over-time as needed Physical Demands * Constant standing, walking, reaching and balancing * Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing * Minimal sitting and crawling * Lift up to 50 lbs. * Carry up to 50 lbs. approximately 5 feet * Push/Pull 20-40 lbs. of force 40 feet Environmental Conditions * Work Environment: Manufacturing. * Lighting: Adequate. * Temperature: Non-Temperature Controlled. Humidity, Heat, Cold are factors during the year.
