United States Fleet Forces Command SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in Naval Base, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Aviation Support Detachment of AVIATION SUPPORT DETACHMENT NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will complete individual transactions, providing customer assistance, review stock record cards, requisition, obtaining data searches, and distributing output files You will analyze regulations, directives, and instructions from headquarters for applicability to assist in the development and/or revision of existing operating procedures You will perform reconciliation of information and reporting requirements, accountability, and reference purposed. You will type letters, messages, reports, tabulated materials, memorandums and other related documentation using computer programs such as Microsoft. You will procure consumable supplies, equipment and furniture by providing vendor and contractors with specific requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing supply functions, logistics, procurement, receiving, stowing and inventory. Organizing and tracking inventory of various supplies and proper disposal of excess items. Utilizing supply management computer systems. Generating reports, and maintaining supply system integrity.
