job summary:
Naugatuck area company seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team! As a Senior Accountant, you'll handle all aspects of general accounting while supporting the Controller. The ideal candidate will come out of a Corporate environment and have experience with US GAAP. This onsite position offers a competitive salary of $80-90K depending on experience. responsibilities:
Perform account reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial statements
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
Provide financial analysis
Participate with month-end and year-end closing processes.
qualifications:
BS in Accounting/Finance.
At least 5+ years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of debits and credits, as well as accrual accounting principles.
High proficiency with Excel, with the ability to accurately manipulate and update data.
Proficiency in using an ERP system.
Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting requirements.
