Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft products and network internet

Job Concepts

Ticket Sales

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive season ticket sales and individual game ticket sales plan that will generate new sales annually.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to market advanced ticket sales to businesses, churches and other organizations.

  • Develop new innovative ways to market and sell advanced tickets that will generate revenue for the athletic department.

Duties of Reconciliation of Ticket Sales for Athletic Events

  • Reconcile all athletic ticket sales including advance sales season tickets, group sales and game day sales.

  • Hire, train and supervise ticket sellers, ticket takers and usher, as needed at athletic events.

  • Purchase ticket stock, print tickets, deposit ticket revenues, mail out season tickets, etc.

Other Duties

  • Assist the Directors of Corporate Sales and Business Operations in daily operations (for example: entering donations of cash/checks/charges into QuickBooks) which will create and enhance awareness of Northwestern State University and promote the University in a positive manner.

  • Assist the Directors of Marketing in marketing and promotional activities for all sports utilizing skills in creativity, organization, ingenuity and research.

  • Assist the Directors of Marketing in creating an atmosphere in which each athletic contest is a marketable and · exciting event.

  • Assist the Directors of Marketing in working with campus and community interest to establish positive relationships that will enhance the image of the department and the University.

  • Assist the Directors of Marketing by being instrumental in game management responsibilities.
