Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Application Developer is a key member of the Parallon® Information Technology team with the responsibility of working with users to define business solutions and then developing, implementing and supporting the technical components of that solution. This position has responsibility for architecting solutions and leading others.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborates with business representatives, client relationship managers and technical leads to analyzes, defines, and documents functional and non-functional business requirements utilizing standard business analyst tool sets including use cases, prototypes, data dictionaries, entity relationship diagrams, and business cases.

  • Leads elicitation sessions using variety of requirements gathering methods such as interviews, documentation analysis, surveys, site visits, and business models with executives, managers, developers and subject matter experts. Delivers formal presentations to upper and senior management.

  • Applies comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of business processes to recommend opportunities for optimizing business process through utilization of technology

  • Functions as a technical lead providing coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members.

  • Manages large/enterprise scope projects coordinating multiple internal and external resources. Tracks project progress, identifies risks, communicates risks and status, and assesses potential impacts to the business

  • Interacts with vendors, enterprise technical resources, and application developers to develop complex solutions that incorporate multiple technologies evaluating ROI, budget, risks and timelines.

  • Provides second level support to resolve escalated incidents or fulfill requests received from users; provides status on user issues. Works with enterprise subject matter experts and technical resources in managing resolution of application incidents and requests.

  • Extensive knowledge of the business application to optimize the configuration and utilization of the application and ensure reliable streamlined functionality. Ability to architect solutions that incorporate other enabling technology.

  • Collaborates with infrastructure support team to manage the hardware and system software

  • Guides others in defining, documenting, and executing rigorous test plans to ensure implemented solutions meet documented requirements and expose defects

  • Oversees applying application code changes to QA and Production environments adhering to change management practices

  • Ensures data security and integrity and application reliability

  • Coordinates application reporting requests and assists with defining report requirements and validates reporting results. Performs adhoc query of the application database to provide information for business decisions, resolution of system issues, and validation of system testing

  • Coordinates with the business owner to communicate changes and train application users

  • Maintains technical documentation and application knowledge base

  • Performs more advanced programming tasks and analyzes software code for quality and security. Understands secure coding requirements.

  • Contributes to the development of standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications that you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

  • Equivalent Work experience may substitute for degree

  • 7 + years of IT work experience

  • 4-7 years of experience with Full Stack Development, .NetCore, React and Azure

  • 3+ years leading small / medium size projects

  • Experience in delivering solutions for an enterprise wide application (ERP)

  • Knowledge of healthcare patient receivables and/or call center operations preferred
