How you make a difference

As a Payroll Coordinator III, you'll be tasked with managing a portfolio of locations/contracts, meticulously maintaining employee records, and efficiently processing payroll entries within the designated database. Your role extends to handling payroll intricacies for both home office and multi-state employees, while also offering vital support to Managers on payroll-related projects involving Service Now, Finance initiatives, and aiding our India Teammates. Your precision and expertise ensure smooth payroll operations across various fronts, contributing to the seamless functioning of the organization's financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls using UKG systems, addressing any errors promptly to uphold earnings accuracy and compliance with state laws and policies.

  • Provide comprehensive customer service support via phone calls, team chats, and ServiceNow to address payroll inquiries from teammates, fostering client confidence and confidentiality.

  • Collaborate closely with Accounting, HR, and HRIS departments to resolve payroll-related issues, utilizing knowledge of tax setup, W-2s, penalties, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

  • Lead testing efforts for payroll system updates, working with ServiceNow tickets to identify trends and support enhancements, while also streamlining and automating daily processing for efficiency.

  • Work independently and cross-functionally with internal departments and India teammates on projects, serving as a reliable backup for Managers and ensuring payroll corrections are processed accurately and promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • College degree or related payroll/accounting experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

  • Required: Five (5) years of direct experience processing payroll as your main responsibility.

  • Required: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Dimensions and UKG.

  • Preferred: Microsoft Power Point skills.

Certification

  • Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

Additional Details

This is a HYBRID role. Candidate must reside in the greater Nashville, TN area.
