Covenant Health PHYSICAL THERAPY ASST. PD1 in Nashua, New Hampshire
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of a physical therapist performs predetermined physical therapy treatments to patients and performs all other related duties of documentation, patient charges, physician communication within the limits of the APTA code of Ethics and NH Practice Act. PTA to complete daily treatment documentation and assure primary therapist reviews patient progress at appropriate intervals, as guided by the rules and regulations of the NH State Practice Act. Participates in team and family conferences, home visits, out trips and family teaching sessions. Participates in meetings, in-services, audits and Performance Improvement Monitors. Provides coverage in other PT departments as needed is determined by supervisor and Administrative Coordinator. Provides holiday coverage on a rotation basis. Provide weekend coverage on an as needed basis to cover department needs. PTA Productivity expectation is 90% of direct patient care.
Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited two year program for physical therapy assistant.
Associates Arts Degree.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in state of New Hampshire.
Must have temporary license prior to beginning employment.
All mandatory competency testing must be completed.
