Intermountain Health Market Cardiovascular Operations Director in Murray, Utah

Job Description:

The CV Market Director provides oversight, direction, and decision making for Cardiovascular Services within the Salt Lake Valley and the Wasatch Back. In collaboration with system CV leadership, the Market Director is responsible for all aspects of Cardiovascular Services including strategic planning, program growth and development, operational effectiveness and alignment, financial performance, continuous improvement activities, and supplier contract management for their assigned service line or area of focus. The Market Director must establish strong collaborative relationships with key leaders throughout the organization and develop short-term and long-term plans to ensure that Intermountain Healthcare is well-positioned for current and future success. Within this scope, the individual is also accountable for ensuring that Cardiovascular Services achieves and sustains excellence in patient safety, patient experience, quality, access, and stewardship and continually drives toward achieving One Intermountain. The Market Director is expected to leverage the integrated healthcare delivery model and engage with physicians and other caregivers to further integrate Cardiovascular Services into seamless care delivery processes across the care continuum to achieve and sustain improvements in patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Three years of professional experience working in a service line leadership role.

Experience in process measurement, process improvement, re-engineering, and health systems research.

  • and -

Experience in strategic planning, leadership, problem-solving, budget creation, and statistical analysis.

  • and -

Experience with compliance programs relating to professional standards, governmental agencies, and accreditation organizations.

  • and -

Experience with a health care delivery system and it's interactions with government agencies, insurance companies, physicians, other health care professionals, and the hospital organization.

  • and -

Experience using word processing, advanced or complex spreadsheet and database applications, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications, as well as computerized tracking systems.

  • and -

Experience in a role requiring effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and training in Continuous Improvement, Lean Management, or Six Sigma.

Experience working in an integrated healthcare system.

  • and -

Experience in designing and conducting research, analyzing data.

  • and -

Clinical experience and licensure in a cardiovascular-related role.

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.

  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.

  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

  • May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.

  • For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$65.75 - $101.50
