Google Senior Technical Solutions Consultant, Android Auto in Munich, Germany

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering or technical consulting, and 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

  • 5 years of experience as a technical solutions consultant in the Automotive field.

  • 3 years of experience with system architecture or device bring-up of Android or other Linux-based platforms.

  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages.

  • Experience owning an Automotive product from inception till launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • 3 years of experience in people management.

  • Experience with Android application or Android device development.

  • Excellent communication, convincing, and project management skills.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

In this role, you will manage technical projects with leading automotive industry players integrating Android Auto into next generation connected cars. You will be a trusted advisor to Google’s Product and Engineering teams and Automotive industry partners, car manufacturers, supplier ecosystem, SoC providers and work together to build cutting-edge infotainment and driver assistance systems. You will collaborate with partner organizations, guide planning, implementation and certification of Android Auto devices. You will support and lead internal initiatives to transform team operations and improve our products and technologies. You will solve problems at scale, with impact across the entire Automotive industry.

  • Manage technical projects with Automotive industry partners, guiding Android Auto solution planning and implementation.

  • Provide technical expertise regarding Android Auto integration in emerging system architectures.

  • Maintain and enhance Android Auto compatibility and platform updatability.

  • Advocate for and translate industry needs to Google Engineering and Product teams in order to shape future platform development.

  • Develop tools and processes to streamline partner engagements and high product quality.
