Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Product Manager you will have wide set of responsibilities to ensure our customers are delighted.

  • Launch Amazon Echo devices: You will be launching the Amazon Echo smart speaker line-up in Germany and Austria. To get this done, you work efficiently with and coordinate a large number of internal Amazon stakeholders against a tight time-line.

  • Help Alexa get smarter: You will be responsible for enhancing the current Alexa experience overall. Identify improvement opportunities – from customer pain points like bugs or little paper cuts to things that are actually working well but could be improved even further. How can we make Alexa more enjoyable for everyone?

  • Design new Alexa features: Join the German country team in constantly thinking about ideas and develop new features. You will run User Experience (UX) studies and correlate those with data insights to come up with ideas for new Alexa features.

  • Localize global Alexa features: When we develop global features and localize them, you will be involved in the design process to contribute requirements for Germany, so the product feels really local. What is a great local customer experience?

  • Dive deep with engineering teams (Natural Language Processing, Automatic Speech Recognition) if needed.

  • Jump into cold water and have an appetite to learn things outside their own comfort zone (technical backbone of Alexa, press events, marketing, go-to-market processes).
