Logitech Senior Category Marketing Manager Gaming DACH in Munich, Germany

The Role:

Logitech is looking for a Gaming Category Marketing Manager based in Munich to lead and develop the growing gaming category in DACH campaigns. Own category tasks end to end including marketing mix and budgets to drive Logitech share, sales, awareness and consideration within key categories in the region. Lead a team of 2 marketers to achieve regional/global goals.

Your main responsibilities as the Gaming Category Marketing Manager include brand building, marketing planning, creative development, working with and leading 3rd party agencies, budget responsibility, cross-functional collaboration with sales functions within the company, regional marketing alignment, category management, paid media, new product launch strategy, planning and execution, setting up direction and overseeing influencer and social media marketing in the region. You will be part of a passionate, committed & diverse team of marketers, who develop innovative market-fit strategies, ideas and content to meet the evolving needs and demands of our growing consumer base and to reinforce Logitech’s leading market position.

The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated ability to internalize the European business and brand objectives and translate them into clear, inspiring, market-relevant and actionable marketing plans and go-to-market programs. This includes a deep understanding of digital marketing practices, how to optimize the marketing mix and the ability to work with key groups throughout the company to bring forth the most comprehensive and impactful marketing plan possible. You will work closely with groups including: Country Managers, Key Account Managers, Channel & Trade Marketing, Corporate Communications, Social Media, Digital, Reporting and Analytics and key external partners. Retail experience is also vital to this role to drive category management, retailer/etailer marketing plans and in-store visibility.

Key metrics for this role are market share, local revenue targets, contribution margin (i.e. budget management) and softer metrics like brand awareness, closeness and affinity.   • Execute global and regional strategies & create powerful local marketing plans to achieve commercial success in DACH markets. Create annual plans that are updated quarterly and efficiently communicated to regional and local stakeholders, incl. marketing, sales & finance teams.

  • Collaborate closely with all key account managers to drive category goals and strategies - Weekly Sales & Marketing Meetings, face-to-face customer meetings, Joint Business Planning & Top to Top’s.

  • Align closely with the commercial lead on promo planning, and demand planning to drive strategic initiatives.

  • Be the single point of contact for all new product launches including planning, forecasting, budgeting and marketing.

  • Manage both retailer & etailer marcom spend (MDF) as well as own the marcom budget (OPEX). Coordinate between sales & marketing to ensure effective marketing plans are in place to drive strategic initiatives.

  • Communicate in a timely manner results on marketing campaigns, product launches, budgets, digital media spend and overall country performance (by product line, strategic pillar and channel) to relevant stakeholders

  • Develop consumer strategies based on market intelligence, locally relevant consumer insights, and best practices. Create innovative marketing programs to engage with target audiences and partners.

  • Guide creative development of our brand and campaign assets that resonate with specific target audiences and meet customer needs.

  • Drive a 360-degree omnichannel approach that integrates social media, digital, PR, influencers, partnerships,in-store and channel marketing programs.

  • Communicate the Logitech story, values, promotions, and partnerships across various channels.

  • Manage a roster of external agencies (PR, creative, influencers, etc.) and internal resources for the on-time delivery of world class marketing campaigns.

  • Drive coordination and alignment with regional marketing teams and partners.

  • Evaluate, translate, and design actionable plans from internal and external insights like GFK

  • Understand category management in order to execute with sales & key accounts to drive the most profitable SKU’s

  • Work with finance, legal, and other functional teams to support daily market operations.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Strong understanding of the target audiences (incl. Gen Z Lifestyle): trends, shopper behavior, media consumption patterns, relevant social media engagement strategies, etc.

  • Experience developing innovative marketing programs from inception through execution for large global brands.

  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships with the community, partners, influencers and key opinion leaders.

  • Experience managing marketing through the entire product lifecycle from conception through EOL.

  • 5+ years in marketing, tech, consumer electronics, sports or consumer goods with a strong footprint in the Gen Z audience.

  • BA/BS degree.

  • Fluent German & English language skills are a must.

  • Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with and managing external agencies.

  • Ready to lead groups, inspire creativity, and ability to interact with multiple partners.

  • Ability to use quantitative data and metrics to drive strategic decisions and marketing activities.

  • Self-motivated, disciplined and results-oriented
