In 2024, EU Global Selling are launching a new Strategic Account Services program. This program seeks to improve the Amazon customer and Selling Partner experience globally by working directly with German Selling Partners to improve value, selection and convenience on their US Amazon business. Our team will invent and innovate across technology, processes and people to launch and scale the program, improve seller engagement and satisfaction, and enable scalable global solutions through direct cooperation with the US, Europe and China Teams.

DE Global Selling is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketplace Consultant to recruit, develop Selling Partners, and help launch and scale the DE to US Strategic Account Services (SAS) program. The Marketplace Consultant is responsible for working with a limited number of DE Selling Partners to help them grow their business on Amazon’s US Store. They will offer support on using new programs, exploring Amazon’s marketing tools, advising on account strategy, global logistics and global selection listing. They will also, if required, support recruitment and onboarding of Selling Partners onto this new service and act as their primary point of contact. Their work will be supported by a Premium Selling Partner Support Service, an Enforcement Process Specialist, Global Seller Onboarding and Retail Business Services to help address operational and technical issues. Marketplace Consultants will be responsible for identifying and building long-term relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the prospective accounts. Given the early stage of the program, they will also be responsible for providing feedback and developing processes, tools and content for this new service. They will be a key part of developing DE Global Selling’s portfolio of Paid Services solutions alongside cross functional teams and colleagues in the US, Europe and China.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the first paid global export service for DE Selling Partners selling globally into the US Store! The ideal candidate will be comfortable influencing senior external stakeholders, strong sales skills, a track record of using data and tools to drive business growth and be comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment given this is a new program.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around our Paid Service programs.

  • Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective Selling Partners for DEtoUS SAS based on a clear understanding of our Selling Partners and their needs.

  • Manage a portfolio of Selling Partners concurrently and strategically to drive sustainable GMS growth, based on a strong understanding of marketplace programs, tools and processes and using our DEtoUS SAS Playbook.

  • Analyse customer data and make recommendations based on our DEtoUS SAS Playbook in order to maximize the potential of the assigned Selling Partners.

  • Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of the sellers in your Selling Partner portfolio. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity.

  • Understand and utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce and AMC to track all pertinent account information and sales progress.

  • Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress and state of health for the respective assigned portfolio.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Amazon Marketplace 3rd party services industry, DE export macro environment, including knowledge of competing product offerings.

  • Manage additional projects around our newly launched Paid Service such as process, tool and content development, competitive analysis, and sales analysis as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Fluency in German and English required

  • Experience of sales or account management experience in E-Commerce.

  • Strong analytical skills including Microsoft Excel.

  • Proven ability to successfully influence at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level.

  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.

  • A passion for developing an engaging customer user experience with demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will have proven experience in developing original ideas, approaches, and solutions to typical, unusual, or difficult situations in a competitive and ever changing business climate

  • Proven quantitative analytical capability and project management skills in addition to being customer focused, extremely detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize and multi-task
