Claims Examiner I (Regional Docketing Specialist) The Regional Docketing Specialist is responsible for scheduling, reviewing, and evaluating claims for informal and formal proceedings in a timely and efficient manner. This position: Schedules and reschedules proceedings within the mandated time frames based on assigned rotations. Assists in coordinating, assembling, and preparing hearing records and other correspondence such as orders, formal requests, motions, and subpoenas. Responsible for producing digital copies of documents for retention purposes. Prepares files for scanning. Enters and verifies claim information in systems. Processes documents in a paperless environment and generates claims and proceedings correspondence to eligible parties. Provides efficient customer service to all customers related to informal and formal dispute resolution, orders, formal requests, motions, and subpoenas. Research and reviews claims to answer questions from internal and external system participants in person or telephonically, and documents customer contacts in the divisions internal computer system. Monitors the compliance of systematic rotations. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: This position requires: High School Diploma or Equivalent. One year experience in office practices and administrative procedures. Education and experience relevant to position requirements may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis. Additional job details: This position requires regular work attendance. The position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. If eligible, the employee must have a secure, dedicated workspace with reliable broadband internet service. The ideal candidate must be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours. A grammar test will be administered at the time of the interview. Preferences for this position include: Experience in disability determination, workers compensation claims processing, health care or social work environment, paralegal and/or dispute resolution. Bilingual in English and Spanish language skills (oral). This position requires demonstrated knowledge of: Office practices and administrative procedures. Word processing and data/key entry. Spelling, punctuation, and grammar. This position requires demonstrated skill in: Planning, decision-making, and problem-solving. Effective oral and verbal communication. Using Microsoft Office software applications, including Word and Outlook. Using personal computers sufficient to enter and extract data from related systems and programs. The use of automated equipment. Providing exemplary customer service. This position requires t e demonstrated ability to: Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Apply critical thinking to implement administrative procedures, interpreting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers. Meet established deadlines. Work effectively in a professional team environment.
