We are part of the Azure networking team responsible for designing, building and operating critical network services that will help us differentiate from our fierce competitors and generate new revenue. Our team builds cloud-native Network security solutions, such as Firewall, WAF, Application Gateway, Virtual WAN, VPN and more. At the core of these services is a solid SDN and NFV infrastructure that helps us to continuously innovate to improve agility, reliability and cost effectiveness of our services.
We are a diverse team, focused on building quality-driven, secured and reliable products with great user experience. The team will collaborate with its overseas counterparts, and nurture collaboration within the Israeli Microsoft site – home to over 2800 of Microsoft employees, across 35 different teams, and numerous security products, with strong ties to our mission.
If you are a strong Engineer, passionate about networking, cloud, and security, eager to work in a fast-paced startup environment, with good cross-team collaboration skills, then this is the position for you. In this role, you will get an opportunity to design, implement and deploy a highly-scalable, reliable service from scratch. You will be able to influence and collaborate with teams within and outside Microsoft, to build end-to-end scenario and value-driven products for customers. Collaborate with other team members, data scientists and product managers.
Develop and maintain high-quality code for new and existing product features and capabilities.
Apply agile methodologies to plan, estimate, and execute software development projects.
Monitor and troubleshoot system/product/service issues to restore functionality.
Develop code, scripts, systems, or platforms that automate complex operations processes (e.g., monitoring, alerting, routing, debugging) at scale.
Keep up with the latest developments and best practices in software engineering and ensure the reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products.
Analyze data and use data to drive improvements of our products.
Qualifications
Qualifications
3+ years of professional software development experience
Demonstrated ability to debug, fix, and optimize code
3+ years of experience managing infrastructure and products via code
BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
Team player, highly effective collaboration skills cross teams and groups
Passion for learning and implementing the newest technologies
Preferred skills
Background in Networking or Security
Experience with Azure components and tools.
Experience with distributed computing platforms for high-scale systems
Experience in working with and fostering cross-geo relationships
