This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for an Engineering Change Coordinator. This role is for our Mount Pleasant, WI location. An Engineering Change Coordinator handles the entire process of engineering change orders, from analyzing requests to reviewing drawings, updating databases, acting as a liaison between departments, and ensuring data accuracy in various systems.

Your responsibilities will include

  • ECR/ECO Management: Manages the entire Engineering Change Request/Order (ECR/ECO) process, including analyzing requests, approvals, and communication.

  • Database & Document Management: Maintains and updates various databases (part numbers, UPC/EAN codes, ECO numbers) and facilitates drawing updates and approvals in Teamcenter.

  • Oracle System: Enters and verifies bill of material and item master data in Oracle, performs mass updates, and supports supply chain requests.

  • Liaison & Communication: Acts as a liaison between departments for ECR/ECO processing and sends out relevant communication throughout the process.

  • Quality Control: Analyzes completed drawings and data entries for accuracy and ensures adherence to established procedures.

  • Teamwork & Meetings: Participates in weekly HHD team meetings and contributes to UPC transition efforts through ECOs.

  • System & Process Improvement: Develops and implements improvements to systems and processes related to ECR/ECO documentation, tracking, and distribution.

  • ETQ Management: Manages ECR contact groups within the ETQ system, monitors progress, and facilitates updates.

Minimum requirements

  • Associate's degree

  • 3+ years of experience in managing Engineering Change Requests/Orders (ECRs/ECOs) within a manufacturing environment.

  • 1+ years of experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for data management and process execution.

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least three (3) years successfully managing Engineering Change Requests/Orders (ECRs/ECOs) through all stages. Prior experience in administration, change management, and document control is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience using Oracle and TeamCenter for data management, process automation, and the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and their associated standards.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional time management abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. These skills are crucial for effectively managing the ECR/ECO process from initiation to completion.

  • Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze data, identify potential issues within the ECR/ECO process, and develop solutions to resolve them effectively.

  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software (Excel, Access, Google Suite).RSRWH
