Robert Half Software Developer (Middleware, Python, Django, Java Rest... in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey
Description We are seeking a Software Developer based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the tech industry. As a Software Developer, you will have the responsibility of coding software applications, overseeing testing, developing fixes, and maintaining operational readiness of Middleware Applications.
Responsibilities:
• Code software applications adhering to designs that support internal business requirements or external customers.
• Standardize the quality assurance procedure for software.
• Oversee testing processes and develop necessary fixes.
• Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Monitor and maintain operational readiness of Middleware Applications, including applications hosted in AWS cloud.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements that will deliver enhanced functionality and/or simplify system administration.
• Facilitate and develop plans for application changes including defect fixes enhancements and/or configuration changes.
• Configure and test changes to system including reports security access and workflow.
• Perform/Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment.
• Work closely with team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested. Requirements • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java
• Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS Technologies
• Experience with source control systems like GitHub
• Knowledge of application frameworks such as Spring Framework
• Understanding of REST API design and implementation
• Experience with configuration management
• Knowledge of various protocols used in software development
• Experience in QA - Quality Assurance and Defect Management
• Understanding of storage solutions and their application in software development
• Proficiency in Planning Processes and Procedures
• Ability to ensure Quality Assurance in all stages of project lifecycle
• Experience with Security practices in software development
• Proven track record in Implementation of software projects
• Familiarity with Metric Reporting and use of Monitoring Tools
• Experience with Agile methodologies, specifically the Sprint Framework
• Capability to handle Supervising roles in a team
• Understanding of software development Practices and their implementation
• Familiarity with software development Dynamics
