Google Software Engineer III, AI/ML in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures or algorithms.

  • 2 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning or natural language processing.

  • Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.

  • Experience with modeling for LLM. Experience with the domain area of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 2 years of experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) research, or a related field.

  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

  • Familiarity with experimental design, research methodologies, qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++/Python/assembly.

In this role, you will utilize Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to facilitate the creation of novel and improved Search vertical experiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Write product or system development code.

  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

  • Explore the application of Machine Learning (ML) and LLMs to enhance vertical Search experiences.

  • Conduct research and devise novel algorithms to guide product strategy.

  • Develop infrastructure that enables product scalability.
