Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Description:

We are searching for a highly skilled and driven HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, assisting us in planning and administration of important functions such as staffing, training and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.

  • Implement and update the comprehensive orientation program for new employees.

  • Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, including writing and placing job ads.

  • Handle employee relations, including managing exit interviews, feedback, and conflict resolution.

  • Perform benefits administration, including change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness.

  • Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.

  • Participate in developing department and company goals, objectives, and systems.

  • Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of the HR department in relation to established goals, and recommend new practices or corrections.

  • Maintain HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • Previous experience as an HR Coordinator or Generalist.

  • Experience with Paycom or similar system

  • Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.

  • Proficient in MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable with using various software systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Detail-oriented, with superior organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with an analytical mindset.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is crucial.

The HR Generalist will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the human resources (HR) department. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work on multiple tasks at once, and fluency in labor law and expertise in HR best practices.
