What You'll Get To Do: The Group Manager will establish and manage a development hub in North America, lead the development of new transparent conductive films, and enhance core technologies through collaboration with the Japan-based development team while addressing global customer needs.

  • Establish and Manage North American Development Hub

  • Create and manage an innovative development team in North America, positioning it as a key technology group.

  • Set goals, scope, and deliverables, and manage budgets and resources, to achieve business objectives.

  • Develop New Transparent Conductive Films and Initiate Potential Projects

  • Establish a development environment capable of handling new inquiries and drive project initiation by leading internal cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with Japan Development Team to Enhance Core Technologies

  • Develop core technologies in response to market trends and customer requirements, integrating them into the technology roadmap through close collaboration with the Japan-based development team.

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in technology development, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

  • Proven track record in establishing and managing development teams and facilities.

  • Extensive experience in the development of conductive films or related materials.

  • Familiarity with global customer interactions and managing cross-functional projects.

  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

  • Project Management: Expertise in managing complex projects, from conception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of conductive film technologies and their applications.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals and market demands.

Communication

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Experience in working with international teams, particularly in bridging communication between North American and Japanese teams.

  • Customer Engagement: Ability to engage with global customers, understand their needs, and translate those into actionable development plans.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Skilled in preparing clear, concise, and comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation.

Other requirements

  • Approximately 10% travel domestic and overseas.
