Also supplying cost effective high purity bulk gas. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Gas Production Technician will work in a team environment to safely operate and troubleshoot steam methane reformers and Nitrogen production plants which supply an on-site customer semiconductor manufacturer. The Production Technician will help the team achieve the goal of over 99% plant uptime for our continuous production process. Responsibilities Provide 24-hour support to the hydrogen production plant, high purity CO2 production plant, liquid bulk, and high purity gas delivery systems. Assist in repairing equipment such as compressors, valves, pumps, cooling towers, water treatment, analyzers, and some electronic devices. Control costs to achieve budget targets. Display proper attitude and work ethic. Demonstrate ability to follow directions from site operations manager. Offers suggestions to improve system, procedure efficiency, and quality. Perform the functional testing of said equipment prior to customer acceptance. Perform troubleshooting and repair of gas delivery equipment. Maintain and operate specialty gas delivery equipment such as bulk tanks, analyzers, monitoring equipment. Maintain historical records of equipment maintenance and/or repair. Assist in drafting specifications for operating procedures/work instructions and revise existing procedures as required for the various pieces of equipment at each location. Facilitate all customer and Air Liquide programs including, but not limited to: Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance. Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry, etc. Monitor operating costs and spending. Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedures. Display ability to self-manage. Ability to understand stringent safety rules. Possess good supervision/time management skills and be a self-motivated learner. Must be punctual and have reliable attendance. Understanding of the design theory of major equipment items. Good communication skills - ability to follow/give both written and verbal instructions. The ability to work with various sized diverse groups to solve problems. Display aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem-solving actions. Willingness to travel short term for training and to provide assistance to other plants in the business entity. ___Are you a MATCH? Requirements High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of technical training or operations experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate. Ability to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirements.
