rrPosition Summary:
r The Lionel Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho invites applications for a full-time, Temporary Faculty of Oboe, a nine-month, appointment beginning August 12, 2024 and ending May 10, 2025. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate studio oboe, coaching chamber ensembles, and participating in faculty chamber ensembles. This faculty member will teach other academic courses, determined by the candidates qualifications and departmental needs, as assigned by the director. Areas of departmental need include music theory, aural skills, music history, music business, and music technology. The successful candidate will perform at a professional level, actively recruit and retain students, participate in School of Music committees and events and advise students.
rrMinimum Qualifications:

- Experience teaching Oboe;
- Experience performing at the professional level.
rrPreferred Qualifications:
r
- Doctorate in music
- Record of success teaching oboe at the collegiate level;
- Ability to teach other courses depending on the needs of the department and the applicants qualifications;
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain students;
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills with a flexible attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
