rrPosition Summary:

r Event Safety/Security Supervisor provides a multitude of services that provide a safe and secure environment for the university community for events happening throughout campus. This position also plays a key role in establishing and strengthening relationships with on campus and off campus stakeholders by providing exemplary customer service.

rrMinimum Qualifications:

r Experience:

• Using computer software and applications including word-processing, spreadsheets and email
• Working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
• Following documented policies and procedures
• 1 year of experience in event operations, security, or similar settings

{=html} <!-- --> - High School Diploma or equivalent - Must be able to work a non-standard schedule to meet the needs of the department - Due to the duties of this position, successful candidates must be at least 18 years of age

rrPreferred Qualifications:

r

• Knowledge of safety and security operations best practices
• 1 year experience as a safety/security officer
• 1 year of experience in supervising and managing teams of employees, preferably in an events-related setting
• Experience that shows ability to communicate effectively in oral and in written communication

rrPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Ability to move about and between venues on foot for extended periods of time up to a full day of work
