rrPosition Summary:
rAssist with administrative tasks including preparing correspondence, maintaining records, maintaining calendars, monitoring office inventory, ordering supplies when necessary and completing various assignments as needed. This position may be the first point of contact for the department, and is tasked with ensuring that information flows accurately, efficiently and effectively while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
Duties may include:
- Manage records and documents
- Perform general administrative support tasks such as proofreading and receiving and distributing mail; may handle cash
- Greet visitors, callers and/or email inquiries, determining nature and purpose and directing them to specific destinations/individuals/information
- Other duties as assigned
rrMinimum Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

rrPreferred Qualifications:
rEducation:
- Associates Degree, or a combination of education and/or related work experience
Experience in/with:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, perform detailed work, multi-task, be flexible, and be comfortable working independently
- Agriculture industry and the 4-H Youth Development programs and operations
- Designing and maintaining webpages, and social media sites (such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) in a professional manner
- Ability to remain calm and professional when working with adults and youth in stressful situations
- Bookkeeping and using bookkeeping software (Quickbooks), creating and maintaining budgets and financial documents such as profit and loss statements, preparing accounts payable and receivable, balancing checkbooks, and reconciling monthly bank statements
- Reception duties, including meeting and greeting the public, taking detailed messages, and possessing good phone etiquette and customer service skills
