As an Electrical Engineering intern for the Hardware and Software Product Development, you will support the development of a verification system for a vascular positioning medical device under the mentorship of Teleflex Vascular R&D HW/SW Engineering team. This role involves embedded system and algorithm analysis, embedded software development, and algorithm development.
Principal Responsibilities
Design document and implement test fixtures under the mentorship of R&D engineering team
Design algorithms to convert sensor measurements into meaningful data
Development of product backlog in JIRA and Agile/Scrum user stories
Application proof-of-concept development and verification support
Comply with Teleflex’s code of Ethics, the company’s Quality System, and all company policies, rules, and housekeeping standards.
Education / Experience Requirements
Currently enrolled Junior or Senior level Electrical Engineering student or equivalent with appropriate experience (Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related disciplines).
Familiarity with magnetism and Maxwell’s equations
Experience with embedded C, Python, C#/.NET software development
Proven self-starter who runs towards critical issues, ambiguous requirements, or loosely defined challenges with a demonstrated ability to rally teams to achieve business results and working in a team environment.
Comfortable debugging complex integrated systems spanning hardware, embedded, and application software in medical devices.
Excellent documentation and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with MS Office products.
Able to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%)
