Key Responsibilities and Expectations of the Tool Crib Manager:
Keep an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, PPE, and other items that will be stored in the crib.
Oversee the inventory of tools and other equipment, ensuring that all necessary tools are available and in good working condition. Could involve tracking usage, conducting regular inspections, and organizing the storage of all items.
Handle the distribution of tools and equipment to employees or departments as needed. May involve checking tools in and out, maintaining records of who has what tools, and ensuring that tools are returned in a timely manner.
Monitor inventory levels, reorder supplies as needed, and keep accurate records of stock levels.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all tools and equipment meet safety standards. This includes inspecting tools for defects, providing proper training on tool usage, and enforcing safety procedures in the tool crib area.
Provide assistance and support to employees who need tools or equipment, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns that may arise.
