Lowe's Senior Director-Legal Operations in Mooresville, North Carolina

The primary purpose of the Sr Director, Legal Operations role is to foster a collaborative environment where legal excellence meets operational efficiency by, leveraging innovative tools to streamline processes and empower informed decision-making. This role collaborates with executive leadership on critical initiatives and shapes the future of Lowe's through strategic and transformational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees legal operational, shaping the vision and policy while ensuring cross-functional enterprise-wide alignment.

• Oversees legal technology strategy, focused on tools and process integration, especially within case management. Owns the partnership with IT and technology teams to execute optimization initiatives.

• Drives the sharing and realization of long-term legal vision, change management, and operational initiatives not only within the team, but with the broader organization.

• Oversees Legal operations, general administration to drive organizational efficiency and excellence. Works with cross functional leaders to establish and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), tying them to case management, SLA’s, and financial targets.

• Establishes a cross-divisional operating model for Legal to guide the organization by developing and supervising a portfolio management framework, streamlining workflows, and developing an operational roadmap focused on enhancement and alignment to organizational priorities and risk mitigation.

• Provides expert and strategic support and act as a key advisor to establish and communicate a constantly evolving long range strategy for Legal

• Develops and enforces budget governance standards to ensure fiscal responsibility within the legal department and be a key stakeholder in the annual LRP process. Optimizes external and internal spend by identifying opportunities for efficiency to ensure optimal utilization of resources.

• Utilizes data analytics to drive informed decision-making and translate metrics into a meaningful story that can be effectively communicated with executive level leadership.

• Develops a cultural values framework to support legal operations, bringing definition to the way we work, accountability to our goals, and focus on high ethical standards. Fosters a positive and inclusive legal culture that promotes collaboration, diversity, and continuous learning.

• Focuses on long-term success metrics for the Legal department, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency of the legal department.

• Manages special projects and initiatives on behalf of the Chief Legal Officer, focusing on operational effectiveness and engagement of key stakeholders through strong influential leadership.

• Manages relationships with external legal counsel, ensuring alignment with organizational values and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance, Management or Related Field or 14+ years of relevant work experience in related field

• Experience developing and managing budgets and financial analysis

• 3-5 Years Experience of managing team of people

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree Business, Human Resources, or Legal Studies or 12+ years of relevant work experience in related field

• Doctorate Degree or 9+ years of relevant work experience in related field

• Experience working in a corporate law department or Law Firm

• Experience managing non-exempt employees

• Experience engaging with other senior leaders in addressing complex business issues and initiatives facing the legal organization

• Knowledge of tools and systems used for analytical activities, project/program management, goal setting and performance management

• Experience influencing change, developing strategies with impact and delivering results with a proven ability to influence others without formal authority
