Robert Half Part Time Bookkeeper in Montpelier, Vermont

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper in the non-profit sector. The role is based in Montpelier, Vermont, 05602, United States. This role will involve managing financial records, handling payroll, maintaining accounts payable and receivable, as well as data migration tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Daily bookkeeping tasks to maintain financial records accurately

• Process payroll for a team, ensuring timely and accurate payments

• Handle accounts payable tasks including paying bills promptly and accurately

• Manage accounts receivable tasks such as sending out invoices and managing deposits

• Perform reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure financial records are accurate

• Assist with month-end close procedures to finalize financial records for the month

• Work on ad hoc projects as required, demonstrating adaptability and initiative

• Use QuickBooks for various bookkeeping tasks, leveraging its features for efficient financial management

• Use Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis, employing advanced features for complex tasks

• Handle data migration tasks as required, ensuring data integrity and security

• Provide excellent customer service in all interactions, resolving queries promptly and professionally. Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Bill Pay processes is a necessity

• Experience with Payroll management is crucial

• Knowledge of Quickbooks Online is required

• Should be capable of conducting Data Migration processes

• The ability to Enter and Code Invoices is essential

• Must be able to handle Bank Deposit procedures

• Data Entry skills are vital

• Must be able to provide excellent Customer Service

• Experience in a Non-Profit sector is preferred

• Prior experience in a Bookkeeper role is advantageous

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must

• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are crucial

• A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is required

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
