Job Description Summary
The finance function plays an important role in supporting the business, and the finance intern will be assigned to a Global team and will have the opportunity to work with our Financial Planning & Analysis team focus on Compensation and Benefits Globally for GE Gas Power Legal Entities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands on finance experience, with significant knowledge on the business finance structure.

The candidate will gain a valuable insight into the operation of a successful business. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will provide an excellent start into a career in finance. The responsibilities of this position include tasks such as the following:
Promote good cross-functional relations and provide excellent service to all our stakeholders on any type of request
Support data Quality improvement on Employees Cost Allocation: driven my new hire or life Cycle processes
Support monthly and quarterly closing activities by preparing ledger reports, journal entries and ledger checks
Support ERP migration projects with new costing definition for the Employees according with internal Organizations.
Work on ad hoc requests and projects assigned by the Finance Manager
Identify and support LEAN projects to drive standard work and continuous improvement within our scope
Required Qualifications
Active student of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics but all degree subjects will be considered providing the candidate is able to demonstrate a genuine interest in finance.
Availability to work full-time (40 hours weekly) in a hybrid scheme.
Fluency in English, with good written and oral presentation skills.
Desired Characteristics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Teams, is highly desirable.
Prior experience working with Tableau, Oracle and SAP ERPs is desirable.
Background in accountancy is preferred.
