Hummel's Office Plus Executive/Marketing Assistant in Mohawk, New York

NY1498511 Executive/Marketing Assistant Full time for Hummel's Office Plus in Mohawk, NY. HOURS: 8am - 5pm (Monday through Friday, w/ a 1 hour lunch from 1pm - 2pm) We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Executive / Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. As an Executive / Marketing Assistant at Hummel's Office Plus, you will play an integral role in supporting our marketing efforts and helping us reach our target audience. This position will perform a variety of clerical and marketing duties, as well as provide assistance and support to Hummel's Executive & Management Team. This includes but is not limited to: memos, correspondence, reports, forms, spreadsheets, flyers, etc. Will also assist other departments when needed, including serving as a backup for Executive Assistant/Receptionist for appropriate coverage daily plus vacation. Runs and distributes reports as well as research product and customer information in DDMS computer system. This is an in-house position that requires you to be in the office. Works with our social media accounts and marketing systems. Would need to be proficient with how social media works for engagement and to grow our audience. Outgoing & friendly personality to help with videos and meetings. Must be comfortable with being on social media videos as we continue to evolve our presence and implementation of new ideas. Coordinates all donation requests and contributions. Handles donations from the beginning stage to final stage after committees approval. This includes but not limited to: Preparing donations for review to include stamp of when received, customers information, due dates, past approval or declined. Once approved, action items that need to be completed could include reaching out to persons handling the donation request, placing orders within our system (DDMS), preparing Gift Certificates, following up with donations and logging donations in spreadsheet after completion. Candidate must be creative, possess excellent communication, organizational & time management skills and proficient in word processing/data entry (Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Microsoft Outlook, etc.). This position requires the utmost professionalism; this person must dress in a businesslike manner as well as a professional demeanor. Must be detail oriented, able to make decisions and flexible. Ability to manage multiple assignments at once and keep record of pending items with daily email/pending document. Must possess excellent creative, business writing and proofreading skills. Will be required to travel to Syracuse at least twice a month. Reliable transportation a must. Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Pay: $15.00/hr - $17.00/hr depending on experience.
