Center for Human Services Youth Services Program Manager in Modesto, California

Center for Human Services(CHS) is seeking a leader who is detail-oriented and innovative to join ourYouth Servicesteam asProgram Managerserving as liaison for the department between school sites, partners and program staff. This full-time opportunity works primarily M-F daytime in the office and may include evenings and occasional weekends.

POSITION SUMMARY:Supports implementation of department plan and assists Director with all aspects of leadership and change processes. Responsible for departments infrastructure and systems including hiring, training, data management, reporting and policy/procedures.

DUTIES:

  1. Take the lead in managing all aspects of department hiring.
  2. Works with Youth Services Coordinators to create and provide coaching and skill-building plans for staff as needed.
  3. Implements department plan goals as identified by Youth Services Director
  4. Develops new and modifies existing policy and procedures as needed.
  5. Actively monitors and ensures successful performance and completion of contract requirements.
  6. Lead trainer works in collaboration with Youth Services Coordinators to implement all aspects of Youth Services training for new employees, including:
    1. Develop trainings in multiple formats
    2. Establish training requirements by position
    3. Identify and equips internal/external trainers
    4. Develop departments annual training calendar
    5. Monitor staff compliance with training expectations
    6. Utilize training evaluations to modify training plan as needed.
  7. Ensures department data is collected and outcomes reported both internally and externally.
    1. Establishes and implements departments data reporting plan and schedule
    2. Manages Youth Services database and works with CHS Data Administrator to create reports/modify as needed.
    3. Develops evaluations tools and ensures appropriate collection of data for program and staff evaluation purposes and as required by agency contracts and grants.
  8. Develops written reports as assigned and required by funders, agency and/or individual work plan.
  9. Provide site relation coaching and support to Youth Services Coordinators.
  10. Actively participates in mid-level leadership team and contributes to overarching CHS goals and objectives.
  11. Represents the agency at internal/external meetings as identified.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. B.A./B.S. required in Social Services or related field.
  2. 2 years Program Management experience.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of financial monitoring.
  4. Possesses grant-writing skills.
  5. Professionally developed leadership skills.
  6. Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening.
  7. Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
  8. Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing, if required.
  9. Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance coverage.
  10. Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allowanypoints.

  8. Performance of assigned duties with a positive attitude and in the spirit of teamwork, collaboration and cooperation.
  9. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  10. Perform job duties in a safe manner to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  11. Participates in and/or supports agency fund development activities and events.
  12. Preparation of assigned reports, work records, statistical data, job performance evaluations, work plans, etc. in a timely manner.
